The making of the My-Fiamma portable pizza ovens
My-Fiamma is a medium size pizza oven, it is robust and of high quality. No compromise on the materials used, hence the weight of 90kg comparing to other portable ovens. It's 90kg of quality!
It is made of 3 layers stainless steel and has a refractory tiled oven floor.
The double oven walled dome is insulated with 50mm ceramic blanket for optimum heat retention.
The oven floor is insulated with 40mm high density fibre board ensuring that the heat stays in the oven floor tiles, which is a must to get a really nice and crispy pizza crust instead of a chewy crust, pizza after pizza. No need to heat up again after a few pizzas.
The Fiamma features an innovative stainless steel baffle inside which makes the hot fire smoke travel back and forth inside the oven thereby extracting more heat from the hot smoke and ensuring cleaner air emissions. This is the system employed in most modern EPA heating wood stoves, made for higher heat efficiency and reduced air pollution. So the heat is used more efficiently and reflects faster to the oven floor, making it ideal for the best wood fire pizza. This oven won't let you down.
Even the oven door is double walled and insulated!
Cooking in the My-Fiamma pizza oven
This stainless steel wood fired oven does the same job as our brick ovens: it cooks the perfect pizza (3 at the time) in only a few minutes.
And of course also perfect roasts, beautiful curries, roasted vegetables, and many other recipes such as smoked dishes, and not to forget genuine home made bread, all with that authentic wood fired flavour.
Cooking in My-Fiamma is so easy, you will hardly use your kitchen oven anymore once you start enjoying your Fiamma.
The other attractive asset is its fast heat up time. The quality of the materials and its design allow for a heat up time of only 15 to 20 minutes, depending on the wood you use and on the cooking temperature needed for what you would like to cook. And because of its design and the double insulation it is very economical in wood use.
The outer dome is finished with an outdoor quality powder coating, available in the colours olive green or black, and the unique mosaic design on the door arch matches the colour of the oven dome.
It neatly stands out in your barbecue area or on the verandah or in your backyard, or even on your balcony. There is also a matching trolley stand for easy moving your oven around the garden to where you would like to use it.

Managed to get the outdoor kitchen finished a few months ago and have been cooking in the oven whenever I get the chance.Today we had pizza’s for lunch, then I put in a bread loaf to cook, and finally left a pork leg to cook which we had for dinner (it just pulled apart). The Fiamma oven we have is fantastic, we have used it a number of times and are not only enjoying the food, but the process of gathering and cooking together - certainly a much different experience than the normal inside kitchen! The only issue we have is not having enough time to use to oven. We love it. Thanks so much. We have only cooked roasts and vegetables in it so far but the results have been fantastic and our guests are amazed by the food and there has been no left overs. I am amazed at how much can fit in the oven and how little wood you need to run it once its up to temperature. We are burning Manuka and have found that Matai is also as good.Hopefully the weather will give us a break this Sunday so…
