Oven Bases

When it comes to a good wood fired oven there is no doubt : My-Woodfiredoven can help you out ! Once you choose your wood fired oven, it is up to your fantasy and craftsmanship to give your oven that personal touch by building your own base for it. Unlike building a wood fired oven, building a base for it is really a piece of cake, depending obviously on your design.
You can make it fit in the style of your garden or patio or make it stand out, you can use bricks, timber, steel. And if you are not into the diy, maybe you have a friend who can help you out, or just have it built by a craftsman. You can make it as cheap/expensive as you want, depending on the materials you use and the complexity of your own design.
Structural requirements for the base: For the ETNA or the PIZZAIOLI 100 the base should be 1 m wide and 1 m deep to have it equal to the size of the slab. The height depends on your preferred working height, it can be anywhere between 80 and 100 cm. If you wish you can add 1 or 2 side boards to it or a frontal one as your working bench, which comes really handy when you do pizzas. See some examples of oven bases on this page in the Oven Base Creations book.
